Masterskill University College of Health Sciences (MUCH) organized a co-curriculum day on 13 April 2011. The main objective of this event is to promote the club which has been recognized under MUCH. 25 clubs took part in this promotion day, categorized based on the background of the club, such as, sports, religion and art. Catholic Student Association (CSA) is categorized under religious co-curriculum clubs in MUCH.
From past activities since it's formation 5 years ago, CSA has been actively involving members in beneficial spiritual activities and as the years pass by, the association grows stronger in terms of administration and implementation. However, the problem facing CSA and almost all clubs in MUCH is “lack of promotion”. In order to address this problem, Student Affairs Department in collaboration with MPP (Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar) organized this curriculum day.
CSA committee welcomes this form of event because we can promote Catholic Student Association of MUCH to a wider target audience, thus helping in our membership drive. CSA booth operators received a lot of feedback from student visitors and MUCH staff. Some of them were surprised and happy to know that CSA organized many activities. Unfortunately, they admit that they never heard some or any of it. Some of them complained that, because they don’t know about the club, they don’t know where to go to church or how to get there. They also missed out on the activities just because they were not aware of the existence of CSA.
But at the end of the day, thanks to this Co-curriculum day organized by MUCH, many were happy to sign up and looking forward to joining CSA's activities in the near future. CSA is grateful to be given lots of opportunity and support from MUCH. The Committee is very thankful and for those who are new to CSA, "WELCOME” and join us in all of our activities. We are one family and wherever you are, remember our humble motto…"TO SERVE IS MY JOY"
